Ok, so we’re cheating a little with this one because it isn’t technically indoors. HoWEVER, once you’re suited and revved up to go, the fly-by breeze should keep the heat at bay. go-karting can be tons of fun and bring out the competitive side in you so, go with a group of friends and enjoy it to the max. go to gulf speed one in seef, which has a great karting track with excellent safety measures. Here, 20 minutes in a single engine kart will cost BD9. prices vary according to rider’s age and the amount of time you want to rent the kart for.

This is a fascinating place to visit. Beit Al- Quran houses a striking collection of Quranic manuscripts, ancient documents and calligraphy works, in a complex that includes a museum made up of 10 exhibition halls, an impressive library, a mosque, an auditorium and a school. There are artefacts, ornaments and other Islamic- related pieces on display. Don’t leave without a wander in the bookshop which sells crafts and memorabilia.

Or shall we say summer clean? This is the perfect season to give the house a thorough sweep and empty out all those drawers to unload yourself of unwanted items. Everything in good condition can be put into bags or boxes and given to various organistaions in Bahrain. Everything from clothes, shoes, furniture, electrical goods, books and more can be given to groups like Helping Hands Bahrain or the Migrant Workers protection society. All items will be donated to a labour camp or person in need. A good spring clean also means that you’ll be left feeling a little lighter at the end of the day!
