Nakhool returns to entertain and educate the young talents of tomorrow during the month-long, fun- lled journey of discovery that is the Bahrain Summer Festival. This year, the exciting tent set-up is located at the Bahrain Fort Site, inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Nakhool Tent features a wide array of interactive activities and workshops suitable for kids of all ages, broadening young minds and developing new skills, all in a warm and joyous social setting.

The Heritage Ensemble of Arab Music led by maestro Amir Abdel Meguid performs a musical concert that takes the audience on a journey back in time to relive the golden age of Arab music through a selection of the nest songs of Asmahan, one of the leading female voices of the 20th century whose inimitable tones still resonate in the hearts of lovers of authentic Arab music.

A screening of a silver screen classic featuring a cast of the biggest stars of Egyptian cinema. This lm, directed by Youssef Shaheen, tells the story of a 1930’s Egyptian village as it struggles against Mahmoud Baik, a tyrannical feudal lord who deprives its residents of water and steals their land to irrigate and pave a private road to his farm.
