1. Sketch Night

    Raven’s Nest has grown to be a place where you can make friends, play games, disconnect from life and try your hand at a new activity.
    Hosted every Wednesday by the artist and illustrator @spacewhalerider at Raven’s Nest on Budaiya Highway, Sketch Night is just the breather you need to create beautiful art. All materials are included, but all are welcome to bring their own materials if preferred.

    2. Texture Art Class

    Time: 4pm to 6.30pm
    Venue: Nature Studio Learning Space,Riffa
    At Nature Studio Learning Space’s texture art you can create beautiful three-dimensional physical surfaces rather than just flat colour. Using materials like modeling paste, plaster, and acrylics on a canvas or board, results in a surface you can physically feel – almost like sculptural painting!

    3. Travel Writing Workshop

    Date: July 18
    Time: 3pm to 5pm
    Venue: Layali Arts Center, Nordic Tower, Seef
    Layali Arts Center, a boutique creative space in Seef, is dedicated to inspiring creativity through movement, storytelling and the arts.
    Every journey has a story worth telling and at Layali Arts Center, you can tell yours. Learn how to transform memorable places, people and experiences into engaging travel stories using practical writing techniques and creative exercises.

    4. Flower Arrangement and Vase Painting Class

    Venue: Passion ArtCafé & Studio, Budaiya
    Your floristry dreams come true at Passion Art’s flower arrangement and vase painting class. Passion Art is the perfect space to get your creative juices flowing so get your friends together and put together an arrangement that you can marvel at.

    5. Smocking Embroidery Handicrafts Workshop

    Date: July 26, 27, 28 and 29
    Time: 4pm to 6pm
    Venue: Al Jasra Handicrafts Center, Jasra
    If you’ve ever wanted to try your hand at embroidery, this might be a great place to start. Al Jasra Handicrafts Centre is organising a four-day smocking embroidery workshop. For two hours each day, you’ll learn the skills and techniques that go into folding cloth into ‘smocks’ by identifying the tools used and the stages necessary to create a design you can be proud of. You’ll learn how to draw the shape, transfer it to the canvas and incorporate stitches to create your design.

    6. Understanding The Art World Workshop

    Time: 6pm to 9pm
    Venue: The Art Kitchen at Al Riwaq Art Space, Gufool
    Al Riwaq is a leading nonprofit arts organisation dedicated to promoting contemporary art and design practices in Bahrain.
    Art has long been known to increase our self-awareness, allowing us to be open to new ideas and experiences, capturing moments in time: past, present and future. This workshop offers participants an introduction to understanding the basic principles that museums, galleries, and collectors rely on in determining the significance of a work of art.
