A DIFFERENT KIND OF VIBE

New to the scene, we were at The Bo$$man for a special Thursday evening, that really set the vibe for the month.

The latest venue to join the collection of establishments at the Flagship, Seef District, The much-anticipated Bo$$man has finally been revealed after a long wait, and we were beyond excited to visit.

Bringing a hip, cool, funky vibe to eating out in the area, the restaurant has been designed and decorated in one of the edgiest feels ever – catchy puns all around, cool graphic designs on the walls, fluorescent lights and even a menu filled with creative names for the dishes. An experience of its own from start to end.

Making a statement that they have no other choice but to ‘Boss It Up’ amongst neighbouring establishments in the area, the menu currently specialises in international-style appetisers, sliders, burgers and mini tacos, all with their very own unique twist. The Bo$$man has been able to give all these well-known dishes a little touch of their own magic, turning them into tastes that are deliciously over the top.

Aside from the colourful mojitos, the friendly staff and the tunes of all the latest top Billboard tracks blasting, we loved the vibes at the soft opening, which you can replicate whether with a group of friends or even family members, and we thoroughly enjoyed munching through the night even more!

For starters, we found ourselves fiercely diving into a colourful looking plate of Mexican Nachos. Laid on a bed of fresh tortilla chips, Angus minced beef, a whole lot of cheese, mixed capsicums and, of course, some fiery Mexican salsa, this appetiser played with our emotions – in a good type of way – as we crunched through the entire plate in a matter of minutes.

Serving up a whole different palate teaser from our cheesy crusade, ‘The Squilla’ panko-breaded shrimps gave our taste buds a surprisingly delightful explosion. A well-balanced selection that satisfied us thoroughly and had us anticipating more.

We were particularly intrigued by the collection of sliders and decided to explore some as our main course for the evening. We can proudly say we were amongst the first on the island to get a taste of two very specialised Angus beef sliders; the Truffled Pistol and the AK47. Targets were shot for sure! Both the sliders were prepared with well-cooked Angus beef, served in buttery brioche buns, with American cheese and a special sauce for both of the different sliders. They truly hit the spot and were large enough that we were able to slice them into halves and share them amongst the table.

It’s an experience worth stopping by Seef for, check out @ thebossman.bh on Instagram to see for yourself. ✤
