A Mirror Of Society

The Bahrain Writers’ Circle (BWC) will present their unique exhibition ‘Confluence – Where Words and Images Meet’ once again, in collaboration with the Bahrain Financial Harbour (BFH), at Harbour Gate on October 12.

Confluence features exhibits from more than 20 teams and six nationalities, writers and artists who have come together to create works of art either inspired by words, or art that has inspired words.

This year, the exhibition is hosted under the patronage of renowned Bahraini poet, novelist and writer, Hameed Al Qaed. He has published several books in English and Arabic, not only in Bahrain but also in the USA, and many of his poems and other works have been published in Arabic newspapers, magazines and periodicals.

“We are proud to support Bahraini and international artists by providing them event space and a platform to showcase their talent in the Kingdom of Bahrain, enhancing our contribution to society,”  said Alex Craine, BFH CEO.

“We have established a series of popular ‘Art at BFH’ solo exhibitions with more than 60 displays over the past seven years and are delighted to welcome back the group exhibition ‘Confluence’ for the seventh consecutive time as part of our annual events calendar.”

Bahrain Writers’ Circle (BWC) Director, Saira Ranj added: “The Bahrain Writers’ Circle celebrates our annual tradition through the expression of universal personal experiences, revealing deeper insights through poetry and art.

“Confluence comes to you from the Bahrain Financial Harbour, a vibrant hub that fosters artistic and cultural connections.

“Serving as a mirror of society, we bring you artists that capture their cultural values, current struggles and transformations through the written word as well as a visual outlet. It will make you think, feel and process perspectives.”

The inauguration ceremony will take place at 7pm on the 2nd floor of Harbour Gate and is open to the public.
