Returning for its 20^th edition, Spring of Culture boasts a diverse programme of experiences and events celebrating art and heritage – with the full line-up unveiled across the festival’s digital platforms.

The festival is organised annually by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre, and the Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Center for Culture and Research. It will run for three months, from March to May.

A number of cultural institutions are collaborating to enrich this year’s programme, including Albareh Art Space, Al Riwaq Art Space, Art Concept Gallery, Folk Art Space, La Fontaine Centre for Contemporary Art and Souq Al Baraha, alongside the participation of the Embassies of France, Palestine, Germany, Italy, India and China to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The festival is strategically sponsored by the Economic Development Board (EDB), with Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (BBK), Tamkeen and the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) as Gold Sponsors and Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) and National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) as Silver Sponsors. 

“We take pride in the continuity of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s cultural seasons and the Spring of Culture Festival stands as one of its most prominent highlights,” said BACA President Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.

“The festival reflects the authentic components of Bahraini society and the civilisational heritage that distinguishes our Gulf region, while also embodying the values of openness to cultures and civilisations from around the world.”

He added that the festival presents a rich cultural blend reflected in the diversity of its events, including lectures, musical evenings, theatrical performances and more, offering audiences an engaging and dynamic experience. The festival also features prominent cultural, intellectual and artistic figures from friendly countries, further enhancing its international character.

The BACA President expressed his sincere appreciation to all those who contributed to organising and delivering this year’s edition, particularly the festival’s sponsors and supporters, whose contributions constitute a key pillar of its continuity. He underscored the importance of public and private sector partnerships in presenting a distinguished image of the Kingdom at regional and international levels.

“Marking its twentieth edition, Spring of Culture 2026 continues to strengthen and expand private sector investments in culture, with the aim of highlighting Bahrain’s openness to global cultures. These efforts also support tourism, which we consider an important and growing sector with significant competitive advantages and immense potential for development and economic growth.

“This season will also witness a debut event for Spring of Culture at the brand-new 3,500-capacity world-class indoor venue, Terminal 4 by Beyon, designed for everything from exciting global concerts to comedy and theatrical shows, and more, marking an exciting new chapter for the festival.” 

He added that the success of Spring of Culture over the past nineteen years stems from its strong connection with the community locally and beyond as well as the partnerships formed with various local entities across their respective fields. He also highlighted the private sector’s generous investments which have reinforced the festival’s growth and sustainability.

The twentieth edition of Spring of Culture features a wide array of musical and theatrical evenings as well as art exhibitions. The festival also presents a diverse range of cultural activities held across different areas of the Kingdom, including poetry evenings, lectures and intellectual seminars, with the participation of influential cultural and media figures at local and regional levels.

In addition, the festival delivers an educational programme in collaboration with cultural and educational institutions in Bahrain, offering workshops, lectures and training opportunities designed to serve the Bahraini community in all its segments.
