UAE-based maritime leisure concept, The Captain’s Club, is to open its first venue in the Kingdom.
Masar Group, a subsidiary of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, has signed an agreement with The Captain’s Club to launch Bahrain’s first membership-based boat club. It will introduce a unique range of services, offering marine enthusiasts the opportunity to take to the water without boat ownership – at an affordable and accessible cost.
Members can enjoy driving or sailing boats themselves after completing the required training, while avoiding the the complexities and costs of ownership – saving more than 90% compared to traditional costs.
With more than a decade of experience in the Arabian Gulf, the club offers a fleet of 200-plus boats including fishing vessels, speedboats, watersports activities options, sailboats and cabin cruisers – catering to a wide variety of member preferences.
Through this agreement, signed on the sidelines of Gateway Gulf 2025, members will be able to access and operate boats independently following specialised training, ensuring a safe and enjoyable sailing experience.
The agreement was signed by Eng. Yusuf Khalifa Al Manea, CEO of Masar Group, and Zaid Shouli, CEO of The Captain’s Club, with Husain AlQaseer, Chairman of Masar Group, saying:
“We believe in supporting innovative initiatives that contribute to diversifying the national economy and strengthening the Kingdom’s position as a regional hub for marine and tourism services. This partnership between Masar Group and The Captain’s Club represents a strategic step toward providing advanced and accessible marine services to all. It also reflects our commitment to encouraging sustainable business models based on effective partnerships. We look forward to seeing this initiative grow and deliver tangible positive impact.”
Zaid Shouli added: “We began our journey over 10 years ago with the goal of offering a smart and innovative solution for sea lovers. Our expansion across the GCC countries reflects our vision of making the boating experience accessible to everyone. Entering the Bahraini market is a strategic move to strengthen our presence in a promising and pivotal region.”
The Captain’s Club currently operates more than 20 locations across the GCC, including 13 in the UAE, two in Oman, two in the State of Qatar, two in the Kuwait and one in Saudi Arabia.
