Bahrain Selected For 2025 F1 Pre-Season Testing

F1 and the FIA have announced that Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) will host Formula 1 Pre-Season Testing next year – the fifth consecutive time that the pre-season tests will be held in the Kingdom, and seventh overall.

F1 pre-season tests were first held in Sakhir in 2009, then again in 2014 and have been hosted by the BIC every year since 2021.

The event will bring together all 10 F1 teams as they prepare for the upcoming FIA Formula 1 World Championship. It will also be the first opportunity for fans to see the 2025 race cars in action before the season begins.

The pre-season tests will take place from February 26 to 28 at the ‘Home of Motorsport in the Middle East’ in Sakhir. The new F1 season will start two weeks later, with the Australian Grand Prix.

The season will continue with races in China and Japan before returning to Bahrain for the fourth race of the 24-race championship – the Bahrain Grand Prix – from April 11 to 13.

“We are truly honoured to once again be selected as the host venue for pre-season testing,” said BIC Chief Executive Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa.

“We extend our thanks to Formula 1, the FIA and all the teams for choosing BIC as they prepare for the new season. We look forward to welcoming teams and fans to Sakhir in February and witnessing the new cars in action for the first time.”

F1 enthusiasts will have the chance to see the top teams and superstar drivers hard at work developing their cars ahead of the start of the season. Details on ticketing and hospitality for pre-season testing will be announced in due course.
