Bahrain’s Biggest Garden Show Returns

The Bahrain International Garden Show (BIGS) 2025 is back this month, bringing the latest in sustainable gardening, agricultural technology and local produce to Exhibition World Bahrain.

Get ready to witness the Kingdom’s largest gardening spectacle as BIGS 2025 gears up to showcase another edition, bringing together gardening enthusiasts, businesses and experts all under one roof.

Organised by The National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD), the official launch for this year’s show will be held on February 19 and it will be open to the public from February 20 to 23 at Exhibition World Bahrain in Sakhir. A leading regional exhibit, the event will showcase the latest innovations in sustainable agriculture and gardening, providing a platform for local and international companies to introduce their products, services and technologies.

Shaikha Maram bint Isa Al Khalifa, Secretary General of NIAD, announced that this year’s show will feature a larger farmers’ market pavilion, giving more Bahraini farmers the opportunity to participate and interact with visitors and promote local produce. The exhibition will also highlight agricultural technologies that support food security and environmental sustainability.

Beyond being a trade exhibition, BIGS serves as an educational platform that facilitates the exchange of expertise and opinions, as well as showcasing the latest advancements in garden care, green spaces and environmental protection. The event offers businesses a chance to grow their networks and introduce new products to a wider audience.

Celebrating its 60th anniversary, the Bahrain Garden Club (BGC) will participate in BIGS this year with various competitions and activities. Zahra Abdulmalik, BGC Chairperson, announced that the competitions will feature more than 100 categories for adults and 19 for students aged three to 18. She added that this year not only represents a celebration of BGC’s legacy but also embodies its commitment to increasing Bahrain’s green spaces and living more sustainably. She invited those interested to visit www.bahraingardenclub.com or follow the club’s Instagram account @bahrain.garden.club.

Whether you’re a horticulturist or just an avid gardener, BIGS offers something for everyone and an opportunity to be a part of a greener future. ✤
