Why Is It Worth Watching?
Manhunt is a portrayal of the decade-long search for the Al Qaeda leader and explores the aftermath of 9/11 and the difficult decisions made by the US Government. The docuseries includes a combination of archival and behindthe-scenes footage, alongside talking head interviews in order to draw a vivid picture of the government’s critical decision making and eventual capture and death of Osama Bin Laden in 2011.
The three-part documentary presents a wider perspective on the search highlighting the contributions of female CIA analysts, in addition to other aspects of the intense and gripping operation. It features interviews, insights and recollections, from CIA, Department of Defence and FBI officials, as well as journalists and White House aides.
