A selection of the new movies and TV releases you won’t want to miss this month.

JURASSIC WORLD REBIRTH
Director: Gareth Edwards
Cast: Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, Mahershala Ali, Luna Blaise
Scarlett Johansson, as Zora Bennett, leads a team of skilled operatives who make a chilling discovery on a trip to the island research facility for the original Jurassic Park. They’re supposed to be collecting dinosaur DNA to benefit mankind but, as the top-secret mission becomes more risky, they’ll be lucky to get out alive.

THIS IS SPINAL TAP
Director: Rob Reiner
Cast: Rob Reiner, Michael McKean, Christopher Guest, Harry Shearer, R.J. Parnell
A re-release to mark the 41st Anniversary of
the ultimate metal-rock parody that’s rightly
gained a cult following. The film tells the
story of a heavy metal band struggling to get
back in the charts. It’s riotously funny but, be
warned, perhaps not for the faint hearted. The
re-release comes in anticipation of the sequel
SpinalTap II: The End Continues, due this autumn.

Netflix
THE SANDMAN
(Season 2 – The Final Season) – Netflix
Director: Jamie Childs
Cast: Tom Sturridge, Steve Coogan,
Sanjeev Bhaskar and numerous others
Big names are coming in 12 episodes that cover some of the most popular storylines from the comics and Season 1, which aired in 2022. The cast is wide ranging, including Tom Sturridge, who returns as Dream, alongside luminaries such as Gwendoline Christie and Stepen Fry. We’re hoping all the questions will be resolved.

Prime Video
HEADS OF STATE
Director: Ilya Naishuller
Cast: John Cena, Idris Elba, Priyanka Chopra, Jack Quaid, Paddy Considine, Stephen Root, Carla Gugino
U.S. President Will Derringer and British Prime Minister Sam Clarke have a very public rivalry. However, when Air Force One is shot down over enemy territory, they find themselves on the run and forced to work together to battle a global conspiracy that threatens the entire free world. Sounds heavy but it’s billed as drama comedy.
