An exclusive Four Hands Dinner will be hosted by Lyra, the elegant Greek-Mediterranean restaurant by Amriya Group, in collaboration with London’s acclaimed Krokodilos Kensington, on November 13.

For the first time in Bahrain, two acclaimed Greek chefs, Chef Angelos Togias of Krokodilos and Chef Ilias Tasioulas of Lyra, will come together for Lyra x Krokodilos, a one-night-only dining experience that celebrates Greek heritage, modern craftsmanship and culinary storytelling.

Both chefs are united by a deep respect for their roots and a shared desire to evolve Greek cuisine beyond tradition.

Born and raised in Athens, Chef Angelos brings to Bahrain the soul of Krokodilos Kensington – a restaurant that reimagines Greek hospitality for the modern era. His cooking, inspired by his family’s village of Palaiomanina and his travels across Greece, celebrates authenticity, seasonality and the joy of communal dining. With an impressive career spanning Jean-Georges at The Connaught, Annabel’s and The Ned in London, his culinary philosophy balances simplicity with depth, nostalgia with finesse.

Chef Ilias, who leads the kitchen at Lyra, reflects a more European sensibility – refined yet soulful. Having honed his craft in some of Europe’s most prestigious Michelin-starred restaurants, including Geranium, Claridge’s and Hélène Darroze at The Connaught, he brings precision and artistry to the Mediterranean table. His dishes are known for their balance, purity of flavour, and quiet elegance – each one telling a story of heritage reinterpreted through a contemporary lens.

Together, the chefs will present a three-course, seven-dishes sharing-style menu that embodies the convivial spirit of Greek dining. The evening opens with Cretan Garden by Chef Angelos – a vibrant play of marmade tomato, Myzithra cream, fermented raisin and carob husk – followed by Lyra Taramas and Shrimp Saganaki by Chef Ilias, and Grilled Octopus by Chef Angelos. Main courses include Lyra Moussaka, an elevated take on a Greek classic and Sea Bass Fricassee in a light Avgolemono sauce, before closing with Milopita – an apple pie ice cream dessert by Chef Angelos, dusted with cinnamon and layered with nostalgia.

Set within the serene beachfront surroundings of Vida Beach Resort Marassi Al Bahrain, Lyra offers the perfect backdrop for this collaboration. Opened in October 2024, the restaurant has quickly become known for its refined yet inviting atmosphere – a balance of modern design and Greek warmth. Its name, inspired by the ancient lyre, reflects the harmony between culinary artistry and hospitality that defines every detail of the experience.

And it is here that, for one evening only and for the first time in Bahrain, London’s modern Greek sensibility will meet Bahrain’s coastal soul, in a dialogue between two chefs who see food as a connection, culture and memory.
