Lexus Bahrain hosted an exquisite evening honouring Japanese culture and Takumi craftsmanship.

Lexus Bahrain, a division of Ebrahim K. Kanoo (EKK), hosted an exclusive event – Lexus Experience – at its Arad showroom, in collaboration with the Japanese Embassy. Designed to showcase the deep connection between Lexus and Japanese culture, the evening highlighted the brand’s commitment to Omotenashi (selfless hospitality) and Takumi craftsmanship.

The centrepiece of the event was an Ikebana demonstration by globally renowned artist Koka Fukushima. Ikebana, the art of flower arrangement, is a Japanese tradition spanning seven centuries. Meister Koka’s graceful presentation brought to life the intricate techniques and artistic expressions inherent in Ikebana, providing audiences a fascinating look into the beauty and symbolism of the arrangements.

The event was attended by the Ambassador of Japan to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Her Excellency Asako Okai, who shared her insights into the art of Ikebana, saying: “Ikebana is more than just arranging flowers; it’s a reflection of harmony, balance and respect for nature. I look forward to exploring further avenues with Lexus to showcase the richness of Japanese culture and its connection to the pursuit of excellence.”

The evening also featured a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, desserts and Japanese calligraphy, offering guests a unique glimpse into the artistry and mindfulness of these cultural practices.
