ISLAND INSIDER

Faiza Ahmad Marketing Manager, Jumeirah Royal Saray

You were recently promoted to marketing manager; how will this differ from your previous role and how do you plan to make your mark?

Indeed, I have always strived for excellence in my work towards the brand. I will take on more responsibilities and, of course, greater challenges. I shall assume responsibility over the brand and the delivery of its marketing strategy, meanwhile creating new and innovative plans for the future. My aim is to keep delivering excellence and do justice to the standards set by my predecessors and the stakeholders.

What would you say are the most impor tant lessons you’ve learnt working in hospitalit y during the ex traordinary days of the pandemic?

The pandemic has been a challenge for all of us. This has allowed the world to evolve and adapt new ways of working. What I’ve learned in these times is that when our channels are limited during the restrictions, we can make a great difference by focusing on more suitable channels for the pandemic and capitalising from them.

For visitors coming to Bahrain, what would you recommend as three ‘must see’ locations?

For Bahrain, there’s a lot to see. I recommend tourists to always visit central Manama and the market, take a trip to the BIC and lastly, never forget to visit the Tree of Life during sunrise. Also, I would add that more than the locations I would invite all tourists to meet the people of Bahrain, that is where the true value lies, the people of Bahrain!
