Bahrain’s Royal Golf Club (RGC) has shot up the list in the latest Golf World Top 100 Courses rankings for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and now occupies 27th place – up from 40th just two years ago.

This significant improvement is a testament to the club’s continuous commitment to excellence. Over the past two years, the RGC has undergone major enhancements, particularly to the golf course and bunkers, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the agronomy team.

These significant upgrades have revitalised the course, providing an even more exceptional golfing experience for members and visitors alike.

The RGC also had the honour of hosting the prestigious DP World Tour, an international tournament, earlier this year that has raised the club’s profile further and contributed to its improved ranking.

“This recognition is a tremendous achievement for us,” said RGC General Manager Juan Manuel Perez.

“It is the result of the tireless efforts of our entire team, who work day in and day out to ensure that we offer nothing but the best to our members and visitors.

“Moving up from 40th to 27th in just two years shows how far we have come, and we are excited to continue building on this success.”

This achievement highlights the RGC’s dedication to providing a world-class golfing experience, underpinned by its meticulously maintained course, top-tier facilities, and a passionate team.

As one of Bahrain’s premier sporting destinations, this ranking is a reflection of the club’s efforts to elevate the country’s position on the global golfing map.

“The Royal Golf Club of Bahrain is one of the region’s most interesting and unique courses,” said Chris Bertram, Golf World Top 100 Courses and Resorts Editor.

As the Royal Golf Club looks to the future, the improved ranking is just the beginning of even more growth, both for the club and for Bahrain as a prominent player in the region’s golfing landscape.
