Sony Electronics has unveiled the new WF1000XM5 earbuds that deliver next-level, engaging and detailed sound.

The WF-1000XM5 earbuds are the latest, truly wireless addition to the award-winning 1000X series.

They deliver cutting-edge technology and premium sound quality with the best noise-cancelling performance that is achieved by reducing external noise over a wide bandwidth, from low to high frequencies, so users can focus on their music.

Following their predecessor, the new earbuds raise the bar with realtime audio processors and high-performance mics that power the specially designed driver unit, Dynamic Driver X, for wide frequency reproduction, deep bass and more detailed vocals. They also offer Sony’s best ever call quality despite a smaller and lighter design.

The device’s innovative noise-isolation earbud tips provide users a more stable fit. While real-time noise-cancelling processing can be further optimised to give the best performance for users despite their surroundings, hence making a clear difference especially on aeroplanes, trains or buses.

WF-1000XM5 now features three microphones on each earbud, including dual feedback mics, which improve low-frequency cancellation performance. Newly developed by Sony, the Integrated Processor V2 unlocks the potential of the HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN2e. The unique combination of technology controls the six microphones, across both ears, to deliver unprecedented noise-cancelling quality that can be adapted to provide the best performance for the listener’s environment.

The earbuds also support High-Resolution Audio Wireless, thanks to LDAC technology, over industry-adopted audio coding technology. LDAC transmits approximately three times more data than conventional Bluetooth audio for exceptionally high-resolution audio quality that is closer than ever to studio recording.

The WF-1000XM5 earbuds are approximately 25% smaller and 20% lighter than the WF-1000XM4. They have an improved glossy texture, boast a more luxurious feel and fit comfortably. ✤
