Hyundai has unveiled the new 2024 Santa Fe MX5 in the Kingdom.

First Motors, the official dealer and distributor of Hyundai in Bahrain, has officially launched the all-new Santa Fe MX5, an exciting SUV boasting modern design and exceptional performance. The model was revealed at an exclusive media event held at the First Motors Hyundai showroom in Ma’ameer.

The new Santa Fe introduces a bold new ‘Open for More’ concept by expanding everyday experiences and connecting urban living with nature. Blending aesthetics with functionality, the SUV has a robust exterior that commands attention in both urban and outdoor settings. The front boasts a horizontal LED light bar integrated with the iconic H sign that creates a striking and contemporary look. The rear design is equally impressive with a clear and sculpted appearance, as well as horizontal LED lights featuring the H sign. The notable wide tailgate is spacious and the largest in Hyundai’s line-up. The vehicle also offers a longer wheelbase with bold 21-inch wheels that make a powerful statement and is available in 10 exciting exterior colours.

On stepping inside, MX5 customers will be greeted by a class-leading interior space that efficiently combines luxury with functionality. Adding a unique touch, the steering wheel showcases four dots representing the letter ‘H’ in Morse code, replacing the traditional Hyundai logo. The interior also harmonises with the exterior by featuring signature H-Light shaped elements across the dashboard and air vents. A panoramic curved display, encompassing a 12.3-inch digital cluster and infotainment system, ensures seamless connectivity and enhanced visibility for a luxurious driving experience. The SUV also offers plenty of additional space with the fully foldable second- and third-row seats. And the interiors will be available in four stunning colour options in cloth, leather and Nappa leather finishes.

The new Santa Fe comes equipped with two powertrain options. The petrol 2.5-litre engine (2.5 GDi) that provides a maximum output of 191hp and a maximum torque of 246Nm. And the petrol 2.5-litre turbocharged engine (2.5 TGDi), which offers an impressive 277hp and a maximum torque of 422Nm. The vehicle’s HTRAC all-wheel-drive system ensures a smooth and safe driving experience by continuously distributing power to the front and rear wheels according to driving conditions.

Moreover, safety is addressed in the new model, which features a comprehensive suite of technologies. The Digital Centre Mirror acts as an additional rearview mirror providing a brighter view at night. The head-up display projects essential information onto the windshield. The Rear Occupant Alert ensures no passenger is left behind, while 10 airbags provide protection from all angles. Along with these, the Santa Fe also comes packed with several other crucial safety features. ✤
