M&S Opens Biggest Qatar Store
Marks & Spencer (M&S) and Al-Futtaim opened the biggest M&S in Qatar at Doha Festival City Mall in April. Qatar’s Best Photograph
The judges of the 2017 Sony World Photography Awards announced the photograph Rounded Life by Firos Syed, as the winner of the Qatar National Award at the Sony World Photography Awards. In the world’s largest photography competition, the category of the National Awards is a global programme open to photographers of all abilities. It aims to find the best single photograph taken by a local photographer in 65 countries. An Indian national based in Doha, Syed’s winning piece Rounded Life was under the theme ‘Culture’. The photo depicts the daily life of a potter. The winning work is being shown alongside the awards’ other winning and shortlisted images at the Sony World Photography Awards & Martin Parr – 2017 Exhibition in London until May 7, and will be published in the annual yummiest dishes and cuisine prepared by talented chefs in a distinctive atmosphere and competitive prices.
