Thursday night dining in Dubai is a chance to unwind after a long week and enjoy a leisurely meal. But with most restaurants offering casual dining or endless appetisers, it’s time for Thursday night to be elevated. That it has, with the debut of BQ’s French-themed experience: Paris, Paris! Starting Thursday, March 7th from 7pm to 11pm.
Paris, Paris! features gourmet sharing dishes prepared under the supervision of chef Mickael Bertho, tableside service, live cooking stations, and a gently lit ambience, all for AED225 per person inclusive of soft beverages. For an extra AED100, guests may enjoy unlimited French wine and beer.
“Thursday night dining is part of Dubai’s culture,” notes Mickael Bertho, BQ’s Chef De Cuisine. “But for all the casual-dining options available, no one was offering authentic frech cuisine in a relaxed setting. We created Paris, Paris! for diners who want to unwind at the end of the week while still enjoying world-class cuisine.”
The evening begins with a welcome drink and a greeting en français from BQ’s francophone staff. Subdued lighting and tabletop candelabras complement the room’s elegant décor. French live music gently adds to the atmosphere.
Starters, main courses, and desserts are shared; soup, meat, and dessert courses are presented on tableside gueridons. Live stations throughout the room serve freshly made crepes, a variety of fine cheeses, and wine and beer.
Its menu sets Paris, Paris! apart from Dubai’s other Thursday-night options. Following the soupe du jour, diners share a course of savory crêpes Vonasiennes before choosing from among a rich bouillabaisse, artfully selected fruits de mer, and exquisitely prepared cote de boeuf. A wine-and-cheese course sets the stage for a dessert of magnificent gateaux.
Brasserie Quartier is located in downtown Dubai’s opulent Habtoor Palace. To learn more about how Paris, Paris! sets a new standard for Thursday-night dining in Dubai, please contact (0)4 435 5555 for reservations and more information.
