The Bahrain Philharmonic Orchestra will perform on September 8 at the Bahrain National Theatre.

The nation’s beloved musical wonder is set to take the stage this month. Cinematic Magic, conducted by Maestro Mubarak Najem, will feature a range of enchanting melodies and iconic soundtracks. The event will take place from 8pm onwards.

The upcoming concert promises an unforgettable experience for music enthusiasts, with timeless classics from Star Wars, Game of Thrones and Harry Potter to the captivating Arabian allure of Aladdin. Beyond Hollywood blockbusters, the Orchestra will delight the audience with vibrant sounds from Arabic, Turkish and Indian music featured in popular movies and TV series, as violin and singer soloists add an extra layer of depth to the musical evening.

The Bahrain Philharmonic Orchestra was established in March 2022 by Bahraini musician, Maj. Gen. Dr. Mubarak Najem, General Director of the Bahrain Police Band and Founder of the Bahrain Music Institute. Currently, the orchestra includes more than 100 musicians and choir members. They had their debut performance last year in a dazzling evening that featured Bahraini orchestral music, in addition to pieces that fuse international classical rhythms with the magic of Arabic tunes.

The orchestra plays an important role in presenting the Kingdom as a prominent destination that attracts all forms of cultural creativity. And, since its inception, has been supported by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities and the Bahraini Government, led by His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Tickets for Cinematic Magic are being sold at Virgin Megastore, City Centre Bahrain, and online. ✤
