On November 15, the owner of the winning horse at the 2024 Bahrain International Trophy will receive a sterling-silver trophy made by Garrard – the oldest jewellery house in the world which was founded in London in 1735.

The magnificent trophy captures the prestige of this international horse-racing event, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain, which is now in its fifth year.

Designed and handcrafted by Garrard’s master silversmiths, the lid features a single silver pearl, acknowledging Bahrain’s long tradition of pearl diving.

With scrolled handles and a row of galloping racehorses, it also includes the coat of arms of Bahrain and is supported by an elegant mahogany and sterling-silver base measuring an impressive 45cm.

Unlike a perpetual trophy, which is held temporarily until the next edition of an event, the winner of the Bahrain International Trophy is allowed to keep their award.

The Bahrain International Trophy is the latest in a long line of famous trophies created by Garrard which include the historic Gold Cup, presented to the 2024 winner at Royal Ascot by His Majesty King Charles III, and the striking British Masters trophy, redesigned by the House in 2015.

The Bahrain International Trophy will be held at the Rashid Equestrian & Horseracing Club (REHC). The inaugural event, which took place in November 2019, attracted world-renowned runners, jockeys, owners, trainers and media figures and the 2024 edition is all set to build on that success and the momentum generated by the editions that followed.
