Whether it’s the all-new E-Class or GLA you’re coveting, there’s only one address that matters: Al Haddad Motors, the sole authorised general distributor of Mercedes-Benz in Bahrain. Both 2021 models are here, leaving Mercedes-Benz loyalists spoilt for choice. Sportier and more intelligent than its predecessors, the 2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan is the first of the thoroughly updated models in the E-Class series, its features more dynamic in design. For the uninitiated: the E-Class is the best-selling series in the German brand’s history, with over 14 million models delivered since 1946. Today, the enhanced dynamics are reflected in the range: the entry-level model already comes with the sporty Avantgarde Line exterior. As a result, the base model of the E Class features a central star at the front for the first time. The redesigned AMG Line with a new bumper in the style of the AMG Performance models looks even sportier. In addition, the Avantgarde and AMG Lines will feature a bonnet with power domes as standard.

The new E-Class sedan features all-LED headlamps as standard. The wheel line-up has also been expanded and now includes aero wheels, which also contribute to saving fuel and thus to sustainability. It’s also equipped with the latest generation of the MBUX multimedia system. The information in the instrument cluster and on the media display is easily legible on the large, high-resolution screens. So let’s talk safety. The new model comes with Active Brake Assist, which is able to use autonomous braking to prevent a collision or mitigate its severity. The system is also able to brake for stationary vehicles and crossing pedestrians at typical city speeds and even prevent collisions, depending on the situation.

The 2021 GLA, meanwhile, is the eighth model to join the lineup and rounds off the current compact-car generation from Mercedes-Benz. With powerful proportions and a redesigned interior, it’s both compact and functional – and designed for those with bigger plans. The progressive design gives the vehicle a sense of dynamics and elegance, further boosted by the emphasis on surfaces. As for aesthetics? The high-resolution media display and expanded instrument display combine to create a Widescreen Cockpit.

The new GLA is also equipped with MBUX, connecting you with your digital world with ease. The adaptive multibeam LED headlamps found on the new model employ individually controllable LEDs to react to the given traffic situation. Partial main beam masks out other road users without blinding them, and the cornering active light functions optimally illuminate the field of vision so that you can detect hazards sooner. And making the choice between the two new models even harder, the new GLA also boasts both the Active Parking Assist and Active Brake Assist. Win-win. ✤
