HUAWEI’s new FreeBuds Lipstick combines luxury design with cutting-edge technology. We checked it out.

These days, a pair of earphones is an essential item. Whether for work or for entertainment, these miniature objects allow us to take calls, listen to messages, enjoy music or watch streaming services, anywhere and anytime. HUAWEI have gone a step further by recreating these practical devices into an attractive fashion accessory, specifically designed for women.

The new FreeBuds Lipstick boasts a stylish black and gold charging case that has been elegantly designed to take on the appearance of expensive lipstick. The case itself even closes with a satisfying magnetic click. Compact in size and weighing a mere 4.1g, we had no problem fitting this charming accessory into a small handbag.

Sound wise, the quality is superb. These FreeBuds feature 14.3mm LCP dynamic drivers and a frequency range of up to 40kHz. All this, combined with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) capabilities, along with HUAWEI’s Adaptive Ear-Matching technology, ensured we experienced nothing less than crystal-clear sound. Capable of connecting with multiple devices, including pairing with two separate devices simultaneously, this accessory offered the ultimate ease and comfort. Best of all, they are so comfortable and light we didn’t even feel them sitting in our ears.

With wireless and fast charging, we found the battery life to be first-class, receiving four hours of continuous playback on a full charge, around 22 hours of playback when combined with the fully charged case, and 2.5 hours from just 15 minutes of charging. Our verdict: We love them! ✤
