A Musical Gala

Get ready for a night of spectacular entertainment as Bahrain Ballet Centre gears up for its annual extravaganza.

Music and dance enthusiasts, young and old, are in for a treat as the island’s first performing arts studio, Bahrain Ballet Centre, proudly presents its 2024 annual performing art show, Melodies of Time. The event will be held on April 18, at 6.30pm at the centre’s premises in Budaiya.

Weaving together beautiful dance routines with musical performances from 45 students, the show will feature promising young talents and will take spectators on a journey through a rich tapestry of music and dance covering different eras.

Audiences can expect to see a variety of styles performed by kids and adults, including ballet, modern, tap and even Khaleeji, a local dance form. For the first time ever, this year’s show will also include singing and piano performances.

“We’re excited for our students to take to the stage for yet another year,” said Zilia Monteiro, Managing Director of Bahrain Ballet Centre. “We firmly believe that dance and music are essential for development and confidence-building, so we know these are important motivational opportunities for our performers. Our 2024 show will take the audience through great songs from the past and present, so there will be something for everyone.”

Bahrain Ballet Centre was set up in 1982 and takes pride in providing a mix of fun and disciplined classes for kids and adults who learn to build self-esteem, fitness, confidence and grace through dance and other performing arts.

The centre believes in taking performance beyond the classroom and they have put on spectacular sold-out productions in recent years, including The Journey (2023), Aladdin’s Magical Ride (2020), When You Wish Upon A Star (2019) and ALICE (2018), bringing together choreography, sound, lights and costumes.

Tickets, priced at BD5 for adults and BD3 for children below five years, are available for purchase and can be booked by phone or WhatsApp. ✤
