The new Leica SL3 lets users freely express their visual storytelling in interesting ways.
Paying attention to feedback from users and the photographic community to ensure its products maintain exceptional standards, Leica Camera has developed the new SL3.
Designed using state-of-the-art technology, this latest camera is more user friendly, compact and lighter than the previous Leica SL2.
The new mirrorless full-frame system camera is extremely versatile and offers stunning image quality in both photography and videography. It boasts an advanced full-frame image sensor with Triple Resolution Technology.
Safely housed in a rugged all-metal body with elegant leather finishes, the Leica SL3 capably meets a variety of photographic requirements. Its impressive sensor records raw files in DNG or JPEG format with a resolution of either 60, 36 or 18 megapixels.
The camera also has an ISO (standard for sensitivity to light) range from 50 to 100,000, allowing it to deliver remarkably detailed images in various lighting conditions.
The SL3 features an innovative autofocus system that combines the strengths of three technologies – phase detection (PDAF), depth mapping (Object Detection AF), and contrast recognition (Contrast Detection AF) – to create razor-sharp pictures even in dim light.
Another new feature is the tiltable three-inch, high-resolution touchscreen and a fresh user interface. In addition, the camera’s lens bayonet, which is based on the L-Mount standard developed by Leica, is compatible with all Leica camera systems, as well as a range of ultra-wide to super-telephoto zoom lenses offered by L-Mount alliance partners. ✤
