GOD SAVE THE KING

The Coronation Ceremony, a much-awaited event, will be celebrated at The British Club from May 5 to 6.

The coronation of Charles III and his wife, Camilla, as King and Queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms is scheduled to take place on May 6 at Westminster Abbey in London. Live coverage of this historic event will be shown at The British Club.

The club, located in Um Al Hassam, will start the celebrations a day earlier. They will host the Coronation Street Party on May 5, from 12pm to 10pm. It’s open to all and there’s no entry fee. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of fun activities such as a bake-off challenge, family games, a photo booth, stalls with a variety of offerings, inflatables for the children and a very English menu to choose from when you need to replenish. It will be nothing short of an exciting day for the whole family. If you wait until after 6pm, you can experience live entertainment too. The adventurous ones can even partake as vendors. In order to book your stall, you must contact the club’s reception. Stall rentals are BD5 for members and BD10 for non-members.

The live coverage of King Charles III’s coronation will take place on May 6 and begin at 9am. You can go down slightly early – don’t worry, breakfast will be served. Watch this momentous event being aired on screens throughout the club as you tuck into the Big Breakfast Buffet, which will be available from 8am to 12pm. Stay on longer without having to worry about your next meal as there will be a Coronation Menu available from 12pm to 10pm. ✤
