THE MINI CONCEPT ACEMAN USHERS IN A NEW ERA WITH ADVANCED DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY.

The study of a first crossover model from MINI for the premium small car segment brings together central features from a purely electric drive to clear, pared-back design and sustainable material – no leather or chrome elements – as well as a new digital user experience.

The MINI Concept Aceman has a striking exterior with an octagonal, closed and illuminated radiator grille, generous chassis surfaces structured by sharp edges, an athletic shoulder section and a powerful rear with vertically arranged rear lights. It comes in Icy Sunglow Green with blue and pink-orange accents. There are four doors and a large boot lid with seating for five. Even as the user approaches the vehicle, the Mini Companion, a sensorbased animation, delivers a welcome scenario consisting of light effects and sound that continues inside after the doors are opened. The interior is shaped by minimalistic door panels, a flexible-use central console that reaches into the back and attractive colour contrasts. The central instrument is designed as a completely round OLED display for the first time. The display and control system in the production vehicle will be based on the latest generation of the MINI Operating System, which for the first time is built on an Android OpenSource Project (AOSP) software stack. New experience modes offer options for customisation and personalisation. In personal mode, you can select from an array of subtly animated background images which are also projected onto the dashboard and accompanied by curated sounds. Pop-up mode invites the user to enjoy an experience-oriented navigation – decide where you want to go by selecting an experience category. In vivid mode, you can create a completely new interactive design for the entire display area whenever the vehicle is stationary. ✤
