Ancient Treatments In Modern Luxury

Immerse yourself in the tranquillity of Ayurveda with new treatments at Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay, blending 5,000 years of wisdom with luxury hospitality.

Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay has introduced Ayurvedic treatments, becoming the Kingdom’s first five-star hotel to offer therapies rooted in this ancient Indian well-being system. Ayurveda, known as the world’s oldest healing approach, aims to balance body, mind, spirit and social well-being for optimal health.

The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay now offers three new Ayurvedic treatments, each performed by specially trained therapists. Shirodhara, involves a relaxing shoulder massage followed by a gentle pour of warm herbal oil over the forehead. It helps to alleviate insomnia, calm the mind, soothe the senses and bring total equilibrium. Abhyanga is a revitalising full-body massage with gentle strokes using warm herb-infused oils to soothe stress, ease muscle aches, boost immunity and improve sleep. The Indian Head Massage, available as an add-on to Abhyanga or Shirodhara, releases tension and revitalises the body through the application of warm oils to vital energy points on the shoulders, neck, scalp and face.

For the ultimate experience, the Ayurveda Day Immersion includes a 60-minute yoga class, 60-minute Abhyanga, 30-minute Shirodhara and 30-minute Indian Head Massage. The hotel has ensured authenticity by using traditional teak wood panchakarma massage beds and offering the Shirodhara treatment in a cabana by the Azure pool, surrounded by the calming influence of swaying palms.

“In Ayurvedic treatments many facets come together to impact our health in profound ways,” said Director of Spa, Nikolay Dimitrov. “Through the introduction of these three classic treatments, we hope to encourage a deeper exploration of this fascinating well-being approach, which ultimately teaches us how to balance the different energies in our body in relation to the world around us.”

The Spa, winner of Bahrain’s Best Hotel Spa, offers a serene sanctuary with 17 rooms spread across four buildings interconnected with pathways and gardens. Guests booking the Ayurvedic treatments or package receive a complimentary day pass to enjoy the spa facilities, including a Himalayan salt inhalation room, Infinity Pool, adults-only Azure pool, steam baths and more.
