MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

Al Areen Palace & Spa by Accor joins its sister properties by receiving the ALLSAFE label.

A stay at Al Areen Palace & Spa by Accor conjures visuals of ambient lighting, floating breakfasts, regal courtyards, soothing hues – and now superior safety standards. The resort has joined its sister properties in Accor hospitality group by receiving the ALLSAFE Label and Bureau Veritas Certification. What that means is the highest standards of cleanliness and prevention have been developed with and vetted by Bureau Veritas – a world leader in testing, inspections and certification – and successfully implemented at Al Areen Palace & Spa by Accor. Furthermore, these standards have been firsthand audited by Bureau Veritas itself.

“The group’s operational expertise, our geographic footprint, and the lessons learned from previous outbreaks of infectious disease provide us with a strong track record and expertise that enables us to seamlessly adapt to new customer hygiene expectations,” says Sébastien Bazin, Chairman and CEO of Accor. “This is a historic challenge for the group, which is working tirelessly to prepare for the recovery so that our guests continue to enjoy their travel experience in complete safety.” Enhanced cleaning protocols are now in place, with all high-touch areas being disinfected on a frequent basis. Over in the rooms, an enhanced cleaning program calls for hospital-grade cleaning materials, and all bedding is washed and treated at high temperatures. The team at Al Areen Palace & Spa by Accor has also been trained as part of a comprehensive new safety and hygiene program to ensure all employees have the skills and education necessary to protect not only guests, but also themselves. The ALLSAFE Label also brings with it new guest contact measures.

Contactless payment solutions and desk-free check-in are offered wherever possible, and practices such as guest temperature checks and partitions at front desks are also part of the ‘new normal’. And speaking of the new normal, a couple of changes have taken place at the hotel’s many restaurants. Here, the enhancement of food safety standards includes maintaining a one-metre distance across tables, and only allowing gatherings of up to 20 people as per government guidelines. And because Accor is about going the extra mile, the hospitality group has partnered up with insurance bigwig AXA to provide medical support to guests across all the hotels in the group’s portfolio. Al Areen Palace & Spa by Accor set out on a mission to protect both its guests and team, ensuring that travellers know they can feel safe throughout their stay. Mission accomplished. ✤
