Marie-Berengere Chapoton

General Manager at Al Areen Palace and Spa by Accor

Tell us three strategies you are working towards as a business to get through this current climate?
The current climate has taught us that our creative process must always be widely open, ready to absorb new information and quickly to adapt. The strategies we are implementing are the values which we strive to emphasize since the brand was established. Our clients seek privacy, sophisticated and luxury lifestyle with a perfect touch of personal service. In our resort, we are fortunate to have villas concept which includes private swimming pool and jacuzzi. However, the key to success in our business is customer excellence. During these difficult times, we must show compassion and solidarity, create bonds and nurture relationships.

What are your favorite cultural hotspots in Bahrain and why?
In my short time in Bahrain, I have been fascinated by how history and tradition are merged with 21st Century architecture and fused people’s habits in these modern times. This harmonious combination is visible when you walk down Bab al Bahrain just across the Financial Harbour Towers, standing tall and proud showcasing the age we live in today. The Souk will take you to a journey where you can explore the colourful market which awakens your senses with the aroma of spices. I must add one more amazing place to visit – Al Areen Palace and Spa by Accor. Recommendation during any period of the year.

Share with us some of your professional goals for the rest of 2020?
With the global situation we must adjust ourselves to unexpected context, but to answer this question, my main focus is to create a smooth and successful path of transition between local brand to international, and to present a strong synergy of culture, people and hospitality.
